This May, we’re celebrating a special milestone: 25 years of Heineken Experience. And we’re not celebrating alone, we’re celebrating together with the city where our rich history began.
Since opening our doors in May 2001, the Heineken Experience has grown into a place where visitors from all over the world come together to discover the story of Heineken®. But our story goes back much further.
As early as 1867, Gerard Adriaan Heineken opened the brewery on the Stadhouderskade. For more than a century, beer was brewed on this very spot, and even back then, visitors were welcome to take a look behind the scenes. In 1988, production moved elsewhere, but the building remained a place of connection and experience in the heart of Amsterdam.

To celebrate this anniversary, we’re inviting all Amsterdam residents to enjoy free entry to the Heineken Experience on Friday, 29 May. A day to (re)discover our iconic brewery and raise a glass with us to 25 years of Heineken Experience!
