In the Heineken® Kiosk Workshop ‘Bottle Up!’, you will transform two Heineken® bottles into unique mini-masterpieces. One to keep, and one to toast. Inspired by the timeless hand-lettering tradition of Amsterdam’s café windows, the Bottle Up! Workshop combines vintage craft with fun, modern storytelling.
As Amsterdam’s most iconic beer, Heineken® has always been woven into the city’s visual culture, from gilded bar signs to the classic green bottle. This workshop celebrates the rich heritage of sign painting and its enduring link between Heineken and the heart of Amsterdam.
The experience is developed together with Amsterdam-based hand-lettering artist Martijn Krabman and local street artist Saša Ostoja, who have created exclusive bottle designs for the workshop. Alongside their work, you’ll try your own hand at lettering and add your personal touch with shapes, stickers, and details, so you head home with two toast-worthy creations.
The workshop is done in groups of max. 8 people and includes a drink and a snack.

Meet the artists
Martijn Krabman is a lettering artist and traditional craftsman known for his hand-painted work with exquisite attention to detail. He often combines painting with gold leaf, creating pieces that are both elegant and long-lasting. Martijn’s work can be found on doors, walls, and signs throughout Amsterdam and the Randstad, bringing unique character to both historic buildings and modern spaces.

Meet the artists
Saša Ostoja is a street-artist who developed a distinctive, signature style of naïvely drawn animal-like characters in humorous, dangerous, or uncomfortable situations. Often with unexpected dark undertones. He works with different media: from ink and ecoline on paper, to acrylic on walls, and from 3D sculptures, to his digital pen. Look carefully into his work and find new interesting aspects every time.
